On Enceladus, Saturn's sixth largest moon, astronomers detect sophisticated macromolecular organics. Macromolecules may be necessary for all life, including human life, and have never been discovered on any other space object. Enceladus is now the greatest site in the solar system for searching for extraterrestrial life. Many of Saturn's moons lack high-quality pictures, raising the question of whether there are further signs of life on the moons we haven't found yet. NASA's Dragonfly mission is tasked with the task of discovering life on Saturn's moon Titan.
The Dragonfly is scheduled to launch in the mid-2020s and may not reach Titan until the 2030s. If life exists on Titan, it would be the first time in human history that we will know so much about our solar system.
